The Sunset Files: View From Home

In my eagerness to see the world, I often forget that beautiful things can be found just steps from my front door. The same sun sets literally everywhere, you just have to open your eyes and see it.

The sun rises and the sun sets, and hastening to its place it rises there again.

The sun rises and the sun sets, and hastening to its place it rises there again.

I was riding in a car five minutes from my home on a Friday night. I turned to look out the window and this is what I saw. Magnificent! I have seen the sun set on three different continents, in over a dozen countries. Why should it be any less special when it is seen from my hometown? Or my own window? My mom always taught me to appreciate those little things- the way the sun hits the water, the color of the sky, the shape of the clouds. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of daily life, I forget. And then I see a view like this and it all comes back to me.
